Erik das Neves's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Marcelo Cearense skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Dorival Branco kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Erik das Neves struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Marcelo Cearense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Capoeirucu SS. Rafa da Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lenílson Britto in the 22nd minute of play. Seropedica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when Erik das Neves scored to the left of an out of position Marcelo Cearense, making the score, 1-0. After having played for 29 minutes, Erik das Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Capoeirucu SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erik das Neves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Tony Alcântara came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Seropedica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tony Alcântara couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Seropedica booed when Capoeirucu SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedrão Arantes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute Seropedica were awarded a corner. Tostão Prestes went to the cornerflag to take it. Zé Carlos Valladares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Zé Carlos Valladares made the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the game, Caco Dante was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Seropedica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Capoeirucu SS the free kick. 56 minutes into the game, Capoeirucu SS's Erik das Neves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcelo Cearense made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Gilvan Fantini kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Capoeirucu SS's Erik das Neves got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 76th minute Lenílson Britto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafa da Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelo Cearense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik das Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Erik das Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Cearense having to interfere. In the 84th minute Zé Carlos Valladares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Cearense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erik das Neves took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcelo Cearense. Marcelo Cearense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 93 minutes into the game, Capoeirucu SS's Zé Carlos Valladares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcelo Cearense made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. There was no doubt that Capoeirucu SS were the better team. Capoeirucu SS's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
