Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Paulo Gonçalves started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Querencia SC's Andrézinho Neto got a free kick in the 4th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Gonçalves in the 8th minute of play forced LegionáriosFC's goalkeeper Alberto Rezende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 9 minutes into the game, one of Querencia SC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Téo Marques scored 2-0 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcinho Botelho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 25th match minute, LegionáriosFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Téo Marques to maneuver through the defense. LegionáriosFC's Alberto Rezende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olavo Tavares in the 27th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Querencia SC's goal looked a bit too open when Egídio Chaves came free, but Marcinho Botelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, Egídio Chaves lined in a short shot 3-0 behind a frustrated Marcinho Botelho. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egídio Chaves in the 34th minute of play forced Querencia SC's goalkeeper Marcinho Botelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roberto Rosado took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alberto Rezende. Alberto Rezende dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. In the 41st minute, Frank Maranhense left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Querencia SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Basílio Luz in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcinho Botelho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Egídio Chaves to strike the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes of play, Querencia SC's Roberto Rosado made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alberto Rezende was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik França in the 58th minute of play forced Querencia SC's goalkeeper Marcinho Botelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute, Valdomiro Cordeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roberto Rosado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. LegionáriosFC's Téo Marques got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Querencia SC's goalkeeper Marcinho Botelho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 74 minutes into the match, LegionáriosFC's goalkeeper Alberto Rezende had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Olavo Tavares. Alberto Rezende made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roberto Rosado in the 75th minute. LegionáriosFC's Alberto Rezende proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save LegionáriosFC from getting a goal against them. If Téo Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roberto Rosado got free with Alberto Rezende in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Querencia SC's Marcinho Botelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Téo Marques in the 86th minute of play. Marcinho Botelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik França, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Marcinho Botelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Téo Marques in the 94th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The LegionáriosFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Querencia SC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
