U21's protests and gave Anselmo Perez a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th minute, Anselmo Perez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in America Football C. U21's zone, Alfredo Pizzi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sílvio Luís Luz came out of the goal and Alfredo Pizzi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to America Football C. U21 getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Lucas Paulista hit a great ball. Alfredo Pizzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Sílvio Luís Luz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, America Football C. U21's José Vergílio got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 44th minute of the match Darryl Cochran shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sílvio Luís Luz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 46th minute Darryl Cochran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Luís Luz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute, Belasko Litago ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sílvio Luís Luz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The America Football C. U21 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Montes Claros F.C. were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfredo Pizzi to make the kick off. If Samuel Anaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 65 minutes, Alfredo Pizzi made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. America Football C. U21's Sílvio Luís Luz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Alfredo Pizzi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sílvio Luís Luz. That made the score 0-6 in the 76 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in America Football C. U21's zone, Belasko Litago stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sílvio Luís Luz came out of the goal and Belasko Litago tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sílvio Luís Luz didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 84th minute, which inside left pole to 0-7. Montes Claros F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
