Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dida Fernandes got the match started through his kick off. Itahy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Limeirinha AD the free kick. Renato de Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. André Luís Correia struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Enrique Fantini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Limeirinha AD. The supporters of Limeirinha AD booed when Itahy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iuri Paes didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Limeirinha AD's André Luís Correia in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Itahy's goalie prevented a goal. If Chiquinho Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Itahy's zone, André Luís Correia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrique Fantini came out of the goal and André Luís Correia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chiquinho Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Fantini having to interfere. Fernando Monteiro charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fernando Monteiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Limeirinha AD's Fernando Monteiro got a free kick in the 28th minute. Enrique Fantini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Luís Correia in the 33rd minute of the match. A collision led to Itahy getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Armando Marinho hit a great ball. Chiquinho Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Enrique Fantini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nelson Martins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dida Fernandes in the 44th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when André Luís Correia made the kick off in the second half. Enrique Fantini came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Limeirinha AD's Chiquinho Maia. But to his dismay, Chiquinho Maia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. If Chiquinho Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chiquinho Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Enrique Fantini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enrique Fantini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Luís Correia, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Nelson Martins was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Dida Fernandes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dida Fernandes really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Enrique Fantini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chiquinho Maia in the 77th minute of play. After having played for 83 minutes, Dida Fernandes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itahy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dida Fernandes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 84 minutes of play Limeirinha AD's Fernando Monteiro was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 86th match minute, Limeirinha AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Breno da Silva to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute, Vinícius Berger fired a really elegant long shot, but Nelson Martins threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Chiquinho Maia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Enrique Fantini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Luís Correia in the 92nd minute of the match.
