Júlio Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Rômulo do Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After recieving a nice pass, Estremoz's Roberto Negri tried to score from far away in the 10th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Júlio Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Rômulo do Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Nuno Palmeira fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mocidade Napolitana's protests and gave Nuno Palmeira a yellow card for diving instead. Nuno Palmeira hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Rubinho Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Júlio Figueiredo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rômulo do Vale having to make a save. If Rubinho Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mocidade Napolitana's Rômulo do Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubinho Senna in the 19th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nuno Palmeira got free with Jorge de Carvalho in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Estremoz's Júlio Figueiredo in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mocidade Napolitana's goalie prevented a goal. In the 26th minute, Norberto Diniz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 28 minutes, Júlio Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estremoz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Júlio Figueiredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rômulo do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Figueiredo in the 30th minute of the match. After having played for 38 minutes, Rubinho Senna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estremoz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rubinho Senna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rômulo do Vale came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Estremoz's Rubinho Senna. But to his dismay, Rubinho Senna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Válbson Mangueira to make the kick off. Rômulo do Vale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rubinho Senna in the 53rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Norberto Diniz during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 54 played minutes Mocidade Napolitana got a freekick which was hit by Norberto Diniz. 57 minutes into the game, Júlio Figueiredo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rômulo do Vale. Júlio Figueiredo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. If Rubinho Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute, Rubinho Senna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rômulo do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Figueiredo in the 64th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Mocidade Napolitana's zone, Rubinho Senna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rômulo do Vale came out of the goal and Rubinho Senna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Estremoz's Jorge de Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Válbson Mangueira in the 77th minute of play. The supporters of Estremoz booed when Mocidade Napolitana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto Diniz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 81 played minutes Mocidade Napolitana got a freekick which was hit by Norberto Diniz. Rômulo do Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júlio Figueiredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Válbson Mangueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge de Carvalho having to interfere. Júlio Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rômulo do Vale having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Vito Breckenfeld hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Júlio Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Estremoz could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mocidade Napolitana throughout the match.
