Spectators: 6675 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1675, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Adelino Cardozo kicked off to start the match. In the 5th minute, Mazinho Brasil left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guayanas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Mazinho Brasil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guayanas's supporters rose to their feet, but Mazinho Brasil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celsinho Silva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedro Luiz Machado kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 13th minute of the match Hélio Paraíba sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edu Dias skillfully saved the ball. Adelino Cardozo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Edu Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Carlos Fernando Quaresma ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edu Dias was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 24th minute Mazinho Brasil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celsinho Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Fernando Varela kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Curio AD's zone, Carlos Fernando Varela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celsinho Silva came out of the goal and Carlos Fernando Varela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Celsinho Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mazinho Brasil in the 30th minute of play. Carlos Fernando Varela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celsinho Silva having to interfere. Adelino Cardozo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Edu Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Carlos Fernando Quaresma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adelino Cardozo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edu Dias having to interfere.

The wind increased when Carlos Fernando Varela made the kick off in the second half. Mazinho Brasil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Celsinho Silva made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Guayanas's Carlos Fernando Varela slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Celsinho Silva. That made the score 1-2 after 58 minutes of play. Carlos Fernando Varela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Celsinho Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Curio AD getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Nestor Travassos hit a great ball. Celsinho Silva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Fernando Varela's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Guayanas's goal looked a bit too open when Adelino Cardozo came free, but Edu Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Carlos Fernando Varela kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Celsinho Silva. That made the score 1-3 in the 75 minute of play. In the 82nd play minute Mazinho Brasil came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Celsinho Silva. 1-4. 85 minutes into the match, Carlos Fernando Quaresma had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edu Dias. Guayanas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Fernando Quaresma was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. Curio AD's Celsinho Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Fernando Varela in the 94th minute of play. The Curio AD supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Guayanas's performance. The match ended with a win for Guayanas.
