The referee ignored Peladeiros FC's protests and gave Luiz Guilherme Marques a yellow card for diving instead. Maurinho Corrêa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Guilherme Marques in the 24th minute of the match. Maurinho Corrêa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dida Sá, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Pedro Luiz Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Baluarte's Pedro Luiz Silva slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nico Teles. That made the score 2-0 after 41 minutes of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luiz Guilherme Marques made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Baluarte's goalkeeper Maurinho Corrêa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Miguel Rosa. Nico Teles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Luiz Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. A collision led to Baluarte getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Wilton Campidelis hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Miguel Rosa managed to get in a good position for a shot.
