The supporters of Guarehy booed when Carregador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Durvalino Félix didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elói Abraão hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Nildo Antunes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but César Senna made a huge save. When Artur Batista came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Carregador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Artur Batista couldn't finish the play. Ernani Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Diogo Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. César Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diogo Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Carregador's Durvalino Félix sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dênis Corrêa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 43 played minutes Carregador got a freekick which was hit by Hélder Pereira. César Senna was a little too slow when Nildo Antunes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Artur Batista to make the kick off. Ernani Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Dênis Corrêa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ernani Mota could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Dênis Corrêa made a huge save. Carregador's César Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diogo Marques in the 72nd minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Nildo Antunes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of César Senna. Carregador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nildo Antunes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After 77 played minutes Carregador got a freekick which was hit by Cafu Peres. César Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nildo Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Diogo Marques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. César Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guarehy's Gilvan Dracena got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nildo Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without César Senna having to interfere. César Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diogo Marques in the 91st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Carregador defense, Hélio Maciel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of César Senna. The Carregador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that César Senna should have stopped the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Guarehy fully deserved thier win.
