In the 23rd minute Zé Carlos Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolas de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicolas de Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Dionísio, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Zime United's Sílvio de Almeida proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Zime United from getting a goal against them. Felipe Severo came free with the goalkeeper in the 40th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Sílvio de Almeida could save by the left post. Felipe Severo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Sílvio de Almeida made a huge save.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Felipe Severo to make the kick off. Zime United's Sílvio de Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Salgado in the 63rd minute of play. In the 67th minute, José Salgado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Felipe Severo struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Sílvio de Almeida didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Laranja Mecânica SC. In the 71st minute José Salgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio de Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Laranja Mecânica SC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 72nd minute. Penalty! Nicolas de Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Carlos Barros in the 76th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Laranja Mecânica SC fully deserved thier win.
