The coaching staff of Nova União F.C protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gualter da Rocha had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 4th match minute, Nova União F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gualter da Rocha to maneuver through the defense. Elano Moura struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Cacá Messias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Raposo Esporte Clube. Cacá Messias made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Rafael Mendonça sent off a good shot on target. Nova União F.C's Cacá Messias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiaguinho Tepedino in the 11th minute of play. A collision led to Nova União F.C getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Nico Brito hit a great ball. Cacá Messias made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Rafael Mendonça sent off a good shot on target. Rony Batista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Cardoso having to interfere. After 24 minutes of play, Raposo Esporte Clube's Tiaguinho Tepedino made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cacá Messias was left in no man's land by his defense there! 29 minutes into the match, Nova União F.C's goalkeeper Cacá Messias had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafael Mendonça. 30 minutes into the match, Raposo Esporte Clube's Tiaguinho Tepedino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cacá Messias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Raposo Esporte Clube's Elias Cardoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rony Batista in the 34th minute of play. Juvenal Quaresma recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 36th minute, Nico Brito made a precise shot to the right of Elias Cardoso. Raposo Esporte Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Radomil Gajewski hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hélder Salles got free with Cacá Messias in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rony Batista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Elias Cardoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Juvenal Quaresma made the kick off in the second half. Cacá Messias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Mendonça in the 51st minute of the match. After having played for 53 minutes, Radomil Gajewski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nova União F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Radomil Gajewski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 55th minute, Juvenal Quaresma ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elias Cardoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Tiago Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute, Juvenal Quaresma made a precise shot to the right of Elias Cardoso. Raposo Esporte Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Elias Cardoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juvenal Quaresma in the 62nd minute. Nico Brito's late challenge caught a Raposo Esporte Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nico Brito helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Raposo Esporte Clube booed when Nova União F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nico Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cacá Messias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cacá Messias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hélder Salles, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Cacá Messias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélder Salles in the 73rd minute of play. A collision led to Nova União F.C getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Rafael Massa hit a great ball. In the 86th minute of the match Elano Moura shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cacá Messias showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 87th match minute, Raposo Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiaguinho Tepedino to maneuver through the defense. 89 minutes into the game, Natanael Salles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Raposo Esporte Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nova União F.C the free kick. In the 89th minute, one of Raposo Esporte Clube:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Raposo Esporte Clube. 1-5 came through a penalty shot after 91 played minutes, when Nova União F.C:s Nico Brito calmly waited for Raposo Esporte Clube:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. In the 94th minute, Adrianinho Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juvenal Quaresma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Raposo Esporte Clube's Elias Cardoso got control of the ball when Nico Brito tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nova União F.C's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
