In a very dangerous position, a player in Eldecano fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 2nd minute. Penalty! Hílton Mesquita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorian Branco having to interfere. Real Ferraz C.F.'s Gino de Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Pedro Vaz in the 16th minute of play. Elias Sabóia might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gino de Souza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elias Sabóia ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Eldecano getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Sílvio Luís Paraibano hit a great ball. Hílton Mesquita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Real Ferraz C.F.'s Ernesto Amorim slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dorian Branco. That made the score 2-0 after 23 minutes of play. When Elias Sabóia came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Eldecano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elias Sabóia couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Eldecano booed when Real Ferraz C.F. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dagoberto de Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Eldecano getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Elias Sabóia hit a great ball. If Hílton Mesquita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When José Pedro Vaz fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eldecano's protests and gave José Pedro Vaz a yellow card for diving instead. After 36 played minutes Eldecano got a freekick which was hit by José Pedro Vaz. Ernesto Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Valadares charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Valadares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. João Valadares kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. When Ernesto Amorim, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 40 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Dorian Branco was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. When Elias Sabóia came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Eldecano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elias Sabóia couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Pedro Vaz to make the kick off. Gino de Souza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elias Sabóia in the 53rd minute. Dorian Branco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hílton Mesquita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elias Sabóia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gino de Souza having to interfere. With a little luck, Real Ferraz C.F.'s Gino de Souza got control of the ball when Elias Sabóia tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 67th match minute, Real Ferraz C.F. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dino Mangueira to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Eldecano's Remo Sarmento tried to score from far away in the 67th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Elias Sabóia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Gino de Souza when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ernesto Amorim struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Dorian Branco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Ferraz C.F.. José Pedro Vaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Gino de Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elias Sabóia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eldecano's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Real Ferraz C.F. had won, even though Eldecano had held more of the ball.
