In the last second Dino Garcia throw himself and got hold of the ball when Rodrigo Azevedo in the 34thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 36th minute, Jonathan de Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 42 minutes, Jardel Neiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Greens Fields AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jardel Neiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jardel Neiva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dino Garcia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Azevedo in the 47th minute of play forced Sport Recife's goalkeeper Dino Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rodrigo Azevedo was the one to do the kick off. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sport Recife's goalkeeper Dino Garcia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sport Recife's Dino Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jardel Neiva in the 74th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Azevedo in the 76th minute of play forced Sport Recife's goalkeeper Dino Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Greens Fields AD's Jonathan de Sousa got a free kick in the 85th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Sport Recife's Jorginho Eger tried to score from far away in the 86th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Dino Garcia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Azevedo in the 92nd minute of the match. 93 minutes into the match, Jardel Neiva notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Sport Recife's Dino Garcia. Dino Garcia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
