Giga Mix F.C's Luizão Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Fernandez in the 6th minute of play. Dinei Siqueira hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Rafael Santana's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elias Soares was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. If Alfredinho Campidelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgar Fernandez in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luizão Sousa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mariola's Alfredinho Campidelis got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Giga Mix F.C's Enio Tande got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute, Mariola's Edgar Fernandez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Wellington Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 39 minutes into the match, Mariola's goal looked a bit too open when Enio Tande came free, but Elias Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 40 minutes into the game, Jonathan Pirani was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mariola's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Giga Mix F.C the free kick. After 40 played minutes Mariola got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Pirani. Edgar Fernandez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Luizão Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgar Fernandez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rafael Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Giga Mix F.C booed when Mariola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albertinho Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eliézer Medeiros hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. When Alfredinho Campidelis came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Mariola fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredinho Campidelis couldn't finish the play. Elias Soares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliézer Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 72 played minutes Giga Mix F.C got a freekick which was hit by Luisinho Mendes. Alfredinho Campidelis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Luizão Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Giga Mix F.C getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Aílton Oliveira hit a great ball. Luizão Sousa came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Mariola's Edgar Fernandez. But to his dismay, Edgar Fernandez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 85 minutes into the game, Alfredinho Campidelis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Luizão Sousa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luizão Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Fernandez in the 90th minute of the match. In the 94th minute Edgar Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luizão Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mariola's Elias Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliézer Medeiros in the 96th minute of play. Mariola's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
