Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Donato Domingues started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute, Zé Carlos de Sousa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gil Cordeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. André Luís de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ismael de Queirós got free with André Luís de Alcântara in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Flavinho Carneiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 26th match minute, Bago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Moura to maneuver through the defense. Gil Cordeiro struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. André Luís de Alcântara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uberaba FC. Dário Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Domingues in the 29th minute of play. Horácio Bertassi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dário Linhares having to interfere. Uberaba FC's Dário Linhares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Domingues in the 42nd minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Bago's goalkeeper André Luís de Alcântara had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gil Cordeiro. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gil Cordeiro made a kick off. Ismael de Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Bago getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Geovânio dos Santos hit a great ball. Gil Cordeiro didn't quite understand what happened when in the 55 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. With a little luck, Uberaba FC's Dário Linhares got control of the ball when Horácio Bertassi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Serginho Meirelles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Uberaba FC's Dário Linhares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Uberaba FC from getting a goal against them. Dário Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donato Domingues in the 75th minute of the match. Gil Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Luís de Alcântara having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Ismael de Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uberaba FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ismael de Queirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. André Luís de Alcântara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Gil Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the match, Uberaba FC's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Domingues came free, but Dário Linhares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Bago getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Horácio Bertassi hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Bago's Pedro Luís Schmidt got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Uberaba FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
