But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juninho Nascimento couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice moves Alfredinho de Barros could shoot a difficult shot in the 19th minute, which Tony Peres however easily saved by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfredinho de Barros got free with Tony Peres in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tony Peres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitório Varela in the 23rd minute of play. Vitório Varela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Tony Peres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfredinho de Barros ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 90th minute, Vitório Varela made a precise shot to the right of Tony Peres. Macarani's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 97th minute of the match Natã de Souza shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tony Peres showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
