In the 5thth minute of the game Lucas Arósio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hanniballs F.C's Dráusio Donato was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 7 minutes, Toninho Novaes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hanniballs F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Toninho Novaes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 8th minute Betão Urbano suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 9 played minutes C. R. Flamengo got a freekick which was hit by Virgílio Dante. André Luiz do Nascimento was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 20th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Eusébio Vergílio made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Toninho Novaes sent off a good shot on target. Dráusio Donato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Arósio in the 27th minute of play. Virgílio Dante kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Claudinei Nascimento ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dráusio Donato was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 45 played minutes Hanniballs F.C got a freekick which was hit by Frank Lucas.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lucas Arósio to strike the kick off in the second half. Eusébio Vergílio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Lucas in the 54th minute of play. Toninho Novaes kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Dráusio Donato made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucas Arósio in the 58th minute. Frank Lucas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hamílton Rodrigues in the 80th minute of play forced C. R. Flamengo's goalkeeper Eusébio Vergílio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 91st minute of the game. One of Hanniballs F.C:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of C. R. Flamengo:s goal. André Luiz do Nascimento placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Dráusio Donato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcinho Chaves, who was totally free with the ball in the 100th minute. When the final whistle sounded C. R. Flamengo left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Hanniballs F.C.
