Zé Carlos de Alcântara's late challenge caught a Queimadinhas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. If Vânderson Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerson Prado in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wiliam Tavares saved Raposa from getting behind. Mário Lopes hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Raposa's zone, Gerson Prado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wiliam Tavares came out of the goal and Gerson Prado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Enrique Pontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Fontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 79 minutes into the match, Queimadinhas's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Fontes came free, but Enrique Pontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 82 minutes into the game, Leandro Tepedino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Queimadinhas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Raposa the free kick. In the 82nd match minute, Queimadinhas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leandro Tepedino to maneuver through the defense.
