Enrique Pontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Délio Zanette, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Délio Zanette blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Enrique Pontes having to make a save. Enrique Pontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Délio Zanette in the 23rd minute of the match. When the match had been going on for 35 minutes, CA Fogo Central's Wilian Lara got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Enrique Pontes. Washington Barros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Enrique Pontes made a huge save. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vânderson Macedo to strike the kick off in the second half. Queimadinhas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CA Fogo Central the free kick. A collision led to Queimadinhas getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Leandro Tepedino hit a great ball. There was no doubt that CA Fogo Central were the better team. CA Fogo Central's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
