SC SCAFF UNITED's Norberto de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lenílson Araújo in the 4th minute of play. Norberto de Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diamantino Mineiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lenílson Araújo in the 8th minute of play forced SC SCAFF UNITED's goalkeeper Norberto de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute Diamantino Mineiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lenílson Araújo helped the player get up and apologised. After 28 played minutes Caldo de Cana F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Lenílson Araújo. José Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Ruy Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Pedro Luís Favoretto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Norberto de Amaral. SC SCAFF UNITED's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedro Luís Favoretto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The audience was convinced that Lenílson Araújo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Norberto de Amaral was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Pedro Luís Favoretto in the 51stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Norberto de Amaral, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in Caldo de Cana F.C.'s zone, Vivaldo de Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruy Santana came out of the goal and Vivaldo de Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Lenílson Araújo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Norberto de Amaral. That made the score 0-2 in the 64 minute of play. In the 68th minute, Caldo de Cana F.C.'s Orlando Catarinense dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Lenílson Araújo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Norberto de Amaral. That made the score 0-4 in the 72 minute of play. SC SCAFF UNITED's Norberto de Amaral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save SC SCAFF UNITED from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Caldo de Cana F.C.'s Pedro Luís Favoretto got a free kick in the 76th minute. José Simão kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Caldo de Cana F.C.'s Rodriguinho Leal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Norberto de Amaral. Norberto de Amaral yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. José Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute, Caldo de Cana F.C.'s Pedro Luís Favoretto dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Caldo de Cana F.C. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
