In the 4th match minute, Queimadinhas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leandro Tepedino to maneuver through the defense. Enrique Pontes acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 5th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Osmar Mazza. 7 minutes into the match, Gerson Prado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nico Catarinense. Guayra's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gerson Prado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. With a little luck, Queimadinhas's Enrique Pontes got control of the ball when Raphael Leite tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Queimadinhas's Leandro Tepedino got a free kick in the 11th minute. Raphael Leite's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Enrique Pontes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Queimadinhas booed when Guayra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celso Esteves didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute, Cacá Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tarcisio Aguiar thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Nico Catarinense, a very annoying self made goal in the 21st minute which led to 0-2. Leandro Tepedino charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leandro Tepedino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fred Mattos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Queimadinhas's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Raphael Leite scored to the left of an out of position Enrique Pontes, making the score, 1-2. 33 minutes into the match, Queimadinhas's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Mattos came free, but Enrique Pontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 48th minute by Raphael Leite got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The Guayra players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Queimadinhas were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fred Mattos made a kick off. After 55 minutes of play, Guayra's Fred Mattos made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Enrique Pontes was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Celso Esteves was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 67 minutes had been played. A collision led to Guayra getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Celso Esteves hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Queimadinhas's André Santana got a free kick in the 71st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raphael Leite in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Enrique Pontes saved Queimadinhas from getting behind. In the 75th minute, Raphael Leite left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guayra fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. When Gerson Prado came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Queimadinhas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerson Prado couldn't finish the play. Gerson Prado struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Nico Catarinense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Queimadinhas. Enrique Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raphael Leite in the 96th minute of play. Guayra were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Queimadinhas for a fine match.
