Gerson Prado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Norberto de Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 4 minutes into the match, SC SCAFF UNITED's goal looked a bit too open when Vânderson Macedo came free, but Norberto de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Norberto de Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vânderson Macedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by André Santana during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 10th minute, André Santana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 16 minutes, José Simão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC SCAFF UNITED's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Simão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerson Prado in the 18th minute of play forced SC SCAFF UNITED's goalkeeper Norberto de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Vânderson Macedo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of SC SCAFF UNITED's Norberto de Amaral. Norberto de Amaral was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. André Santana took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Norberto de Amaral. Norberto de Amaral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 28 minutes into the game, Queimadinhas's André Santana nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Norberto de Amaral made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. 32 minutes into the match, SC SCAFF UNITED's goal looked a bit too open when Gerson Prado came free, but Norberto de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. André Santana was shown his second yellow card after 34 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Queimadinhas's André Santana got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute, José Simão made a precise shot to the right of Enrique Pontes. Queimadinhas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Vivaldo de Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Enrique Pontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC SCAFF UNITED's Vivaldo de Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 45th match minute, Queimadinhas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leandro Tepedino to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gerson Prado made a kick off. José Simão took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Enrique Pontes. Queimadinhas's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Vivaldo de Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of SC SCAFF UNITED booed when Queimadinhas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardinho Barbosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 64 minutes into the match, SC SCAFF UNITED's José Simão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Enrique Pontes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Simão in the 75th minute of play forced Queimadinhas's goalkeeper Enrique Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute, José Simão ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Enrique Pontes was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. Basílio Teixeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vivaldo de Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Enrique Pontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Simão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Despite being the better team, SC SCAFF UNITED failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
