The referee ignored Guayra's protests and gave Raphael Leite a yellow card for diving instead. Raphael Leite kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Glauco Silveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the last second Norberto de Amaral throw himself and got hold of the ball when Fred Mattos in the 16thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. A hard shot 17 in the game by Raphael Leite from a close distance when the talented Norberto de Amaral managed to make a qualified save. SC SCAFF UNITED's players were relieved. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Simão made a kick off. In the 51st minute José Simão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nico Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guayra's Nico Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Simão in the 56th minute of play. In the 59th minute, José Simão fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 60th match minute, SC SCAFF UNITED was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Ribeiro to maneuver through the defense. Norberto de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Mattos in the 64th minute of play. After some careless play in the SC SCAFF UNITED defense, Raphael Leite kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Norberto de Amaral. The SC SCAFF UNITED fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Norberto de Amaral should have stopped the shot. Norberto de Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fred Mattos in the 69th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Guayra's goalkeeper Nico Catarinense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Simão. Nico Catarinense was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Vivaldo de Azevedo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal.
