The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. SC SCAFF UNITED's Norberto de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vito Salles in the 4th minute of play. José Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Valdomiro Berger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in SC SCAFF UNITED's zone, Gláuber Figueiredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norberto de Amaral came out of the goal and Gláuber Figueiredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vito Salles struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Norberto de Amaral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dietrichz FC. After 39 played minutes SC SCAFF UNITED got a freekick which was hit by Vivaldo de Azevedo. Valdomiro Berger was out of position in the 42 minute of play, and José Simão capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. José Simão really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After some careless play in the SC SCAFF UNITED defense, Vito Salles kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Norberto de Amaral. The SC SCAFF UNITED fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Norberto de Amaral should have stopped the shot. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Simão was the one to do the kick off. Norberto de Amaral was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vito Salles showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 54 minute of play. After 60 played minutes SC SCAFF UNITED got a freekick which was hit by Vivaldo de Azevedo. In the 63rd minute, Gláuber Figueiredo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gláuber Figueiredo in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Norberto de Amaral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 76 minutes into the match, Dietrichz FC's goal looked a bit too open when José Simão came free, but Valdomiro Berger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 77 minutes, Vivaldo de Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC SCAFF UNITED's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vivaldo de Azevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valdomiro Berger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vivaldo de Azevedo in the 79th minute of the match. In the 84th minute Sebastião Ferraz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastião Ferraz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Norberto de Amaral came out and tried to block the shot, but Sebastião Ferraz slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 86th minute. José Simão came free in the 96th minute and tried to tip the ball over Valdomiro Berger, but to the joy of Dietrichz FC's supporters the ball went over. José Simão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Although SC SCAFF UNITED had been in control for most of the match, Dietrichz FC still came away with the win.
