In the 21st minute, Comercinho FC's Luiz Paulo Messias seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Luiz Paulo Messias the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Comercinho FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Luiz Paulo Messias had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 20 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Comercinho FC! Pedro Augusto Félix had in the 23rdth minute some difficulties stopping Gil Vale's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Maicon Vasconcelos hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Samuca Aguiar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Comercinho FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Samuca Aguiar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wiliam Tavares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wiliam Tavares was a little too slow when Lucas Paiva got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 1-1. After a rather tough play, Comercinho FC's José Vítor Pontes got a free kick in the 38th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isaltino Medeiros during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 44th minute, Isaltino Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Wilton Velloso came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Raposa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilton Velloso couldn't finish the play. Raposa's Christian Fontes got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

In the 58th match minute, Raposa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário Lopes to maneuver through the defense. Comercinho FC made a substitution. Isaltino Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wiliam Tavares having to interfere. Comercinho FC's Dudu Netto got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Comercinho FC booed when Raposa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualter Perez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raposa's Wiliam Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hudson Monteiro in the 70th minute of play. Wiliam Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo José Marinho in the 72nd minute of play. In the 76th minute Paulo José Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wiliam Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
