He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 5 minutes into the match, Dietrichz FC's Vito Salles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jeremias Barbosa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gláuber Figueiredo struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Jeremias Barbosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dietrichz FC. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Délio Zanette in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valdomiro Berger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sebastião Ferraz hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After 14 played minutes Wilian Lara shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Dietrichz FC's Valdomiro Berger to catch but Wilian Lara was lucky. It became 1-0 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. After 20 played minutes CA Fogo Central got a freekick which was hit by Aníbal Meirelles. The audience thought a goal was coming when Washington Barros got free with Valdomiro Berger in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Olavo Batista charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Olavo Batista the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of CA Fogo Central booed when Dietrichz FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olavo Batista didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sebastião Ferraz during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sebastião Ferraz kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Valdomiro Berger made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Washington Barros sent off a good shot on target. Fellipe de Senna's late challenge caught a Dietrichz FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fellipe de Senna helped the player get up and apologised. After 36 played minutes CA Fogo Central got a freekick which was hit by Fellipe de Senna. Murillo Leal kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Vito Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremias Barbosa having to interfere. When Dietrichz FC's Gláuber Figueiredo in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CA Fogo Central's goalie prevented a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vito Salles was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Délio Zanette in the 52nd minute of play forced Dietrichz FC's goalkeeper Valdomiro Berger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dietrichz FC's Valdomiro Berger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Washington Barros in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Délio Zanette in the 55th minute of play forced Dietrichz FC's goalkeeper Valdomiro Berger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Washington Barros might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valdomiro Berger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Washington Barros ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Délio Zanette in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valdomiro Berger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Délio Zanette recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. CA Fogo Central's Fellipe de Senna got his second yellow card of the match in the 67th minute. The referee ordered Fellipe de Senna off the ground. Fellipe de Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Washington Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Valdomiro Berger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Dietrichz FC defense, Délio Zanette kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valdomiro Berger. The Dietrichz FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valdomiro Berger should have stopped the shot. Jeremias Barbosa came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Dietrichz FC's Gláuber Figueiredo. But to his dismay, Gláuber Figueiredo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. If Washington Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute, Washington Barros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valdomiro Berger was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. If Washington Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vito Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Jeremias Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Vito Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CA Fogo Central's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
