Jaime Arruda showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Arruda in the 44th minute of play forced Os Mal Falado's goalkeeper Pedrão Sá to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Pedrão Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Arruda in the 53rd minute of play. After 77 minutes, Flavinho Cavalcante mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Os Mal Falado and the Bruscão da Massa players grew even worse after the yellow card.
