Gerson Domingues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Paulo Carioca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Mazinho Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, CA 312's Gerson Domingues got control of the ball when Mazinho Baptista tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Luís Paulo Carioca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gerson Domingues was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Luís Paulo Carioca ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 72ndth minute of the game Luís Paulo Carioca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CA 312's Gerson Domingues was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luís Paulo Carioca took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gerson Domingues. Gerson Domingues dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Luís Paulo Carioca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerson Domingues having to interfere. There was no doubt that Mengarda FC were the better team. Mengarda FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
