When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Tales Pires took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Valdemar Arruda to make any attempt to save it. 14 minutes into the match, Suico's Tales Pires sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valdemar Arruda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danilo Massa in the 18th minute of play forced Suico's goalkeeper Hugo de Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Suico booed when Alcobaca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yan Soares didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Augusto de Andrade made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Augusto de Andrade's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hugo de Alcântara was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Tales Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdemar Arruda having to interfere. Sérgio Linhares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 100th minute. Valdemar Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Suico walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
