When Thiago de Salles in the 4th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Túlio Santos kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Cheltenham Town FSCMZ's Alfredão Valle pulled a muscle in his leg after 6 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 6 minutes, Luís Fabiano Cordeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jauaraita and the Cheltenham Town FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 8 minutes of play Jauaraita's Luís Fabiano Cordeiro was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Thiago de Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the match, Tiago de Sousa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Túlio Santos. Jauaraita's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tiago de Sousa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Cheltenham Town FSCMZ's Thiago de Salles got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iuri Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Túlio Santos having to interfere. When Thiago de Salles came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Cheltenham Town FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thiago de Salles couldn't finish the play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Thiago de Salles to strike the kick off in the second half. Geraldo de Moraes struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Tarcisio Mineiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jauaraita. Jauaraita's Túlio Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thiago de Salles in the 65th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Cheltenham Town FSCMZ's Dadá Fernandes got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 84th minute there was a penalty for Cheltenham Town FSCMZ. Silas Cruz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Túlio Santos. 4-0. Thiago de Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Túlio Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marco Netto charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marco Netto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 98th minute there was a penalty for Cheltenham Town FSCMZ. Silas Cruz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Túlio Santos. 5-0. Cheltenham Town FSCMZ were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Jauaraita for a fine match.
