Spectators: 7223 (Terracing: 5419, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 143) Anselmo Dante started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After having played for 3 minutes, Anselmo Dante managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Luiz Guilherme Paulista made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Júnior Siqueira fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Araçá F.C's protests and gave Júnior Siqueira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12th minute, one of Araçá F.C:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Araçá F.C. Luiz Guilherme Paulista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manoel Dante, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amauri Quirino in the 17th minute of play forced Araçá F.C's goalkeeper Luiz Guilherme Paulista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Guilherme Paulista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manoel Dante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Araçá F.C getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Maurinho Borges hit a great ball. Luiz Guilherme Paulista was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet as Anselmo Dante kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sidnei França. That made the score 1-2 in the 30 minute of play. Sidnei França took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anselmo Dante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Araçá F.C's Luiz Guilherme Paulista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manoel Dante in the 40th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amauri Quirino in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luiz Guilherme Paulista prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Amauri Quirino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Luiz Guilherme Paulista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luiz Guilherme Paulista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manoel Dante in the 45th minute of play. Sydney Donato hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amauri Quirino to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Amauri Quirino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catolé FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Amauri Quirino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Guilherme Paulista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manoel Dante blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luiz Guilherme Paulista having to make a save. If Amauri Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Carlos Alvarenga's late challenge caught a Araçá F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Alvarenga helped the player get up and apologised. In the 70th match minute, Catolé FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Alvarenga to maneuver through the defense. If Anselmo Dante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Catolé FC's Sidnei França played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeu Bueno in the 73rd minute of play. Amauri Quirino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. He walked away shaking his head. 86 minutes in the game, Amauri Quirino fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Luiz Guilherme Paulista having to interfere. If Anselmo Dante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
