The referee showed Manoel Fantini the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Catolé FC booed when Guarimazinho AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manoel Fantini didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Manoel Dante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abel Loureiro was a little too slow when Amauri Quirino got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 1-0.

The wind increased when Amauri Quirino made the kick off in the second half. Abel Loureiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amauri Quirino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ulysses Veloso was shown his second yellow card after 56 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Guarimazinho AD getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Ulysses Veloso hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Catolé FC's Baltazar Quadros got a free kick in the 59th minute. The supporters of Catolé FC booed when Guarimazinho AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manoel Fantini didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute of the match Felippe Gaúcho sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abel Loureiro skillfully saved the ball. If Manoel Dante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Guarimazinho AD defense, Amauri Quirino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abel Loureiro. The Guarimazinho AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abel Loureiro should have stopped the shot.
