Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osvaldo Maia in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raí de Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Osvaldo Maia charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Osvaldo Maia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 9 played minutes Aroeirinha got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo Maia. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Floripa Runners's goalkeeper Raí de Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Silvinho Sabóia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulo Renato Mendes having to make a save. After 18 played minutes Floripa Runners got a freekick which was hit by Jeferson Cardozo. It was beautiful to see Aroeirinha's Renato Correia in action when he in the 19th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Hugo Rodrigues's late challenge caught a Aroeirinha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hugo Rodrigues helped the player get up and apologised. After 27 played minutes Floripa Runners got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Rodrigues. Aroeirinha's Paulo Renato Mendes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Aroeirinha from getting a goal against them. Raí de Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Osvaldo Maia's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Ernani Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 37 minutes of play, Aroeirinha's Osvaldo Maia made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raí de Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ernani Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raí de Amorim having to interfere. If Osvaldo Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Osvaldo Maia made a kick off. When Osvaldo Maia came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Aroeirinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osvaldo Maia couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Floripa Runners booed when Aroeirinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renato Correia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute, Osvaldo Maia reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Raí de Amorim. The goal made the score 0-2. 70 minutes in the game, Osvaldo Maia fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Raí de Amorim having to interfere. Raí de Amorim didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Aroeirinha's Osvaldo Maia shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-3 in the ordered_time% minute. Ernani Teixeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Aroeirinha fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Renato Mendes should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldo Maia in the 90th minute of play forced Floripa Runners's goalkeeper Raí de Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aroeirinha's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
