In the 5th minute Caco Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jefferson Lira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Bacue EC's goal looked a bit too open when Cleiton Rezende came free, but Jefferson Lira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the game, Jardel Bertassi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bacue EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CGMS FC the free kick. Jardel Bertassi hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Bacue EC's Jefferson Lira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nando Almeida in the 18th minute of play. A collision led to Bacue EC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Naldo Toscano hit a great ball. Jefferson Lira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caco Martins in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Bacue EC's goal looked a bit too open when Dário da Mata came free, but Jefferson Lira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jefferson Lira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cleiton Rezende in the 24th minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Arnaldo Lopez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jefferson Lira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caco Martins in the 29th minute of play. Michel Catarinense's late challenge caught a CGMS FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Michel Catarinense helped the player get up and apologised. Jefferson Lira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dário da Mata in the 39th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bacue EC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 40th minute. Penalty! Bacue EC:s Jefferson Lira showed great skill when he stopped Luizinho Marques:s penalty. In the 44th minute, Naldo Toscano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bacue EC's Jefferson Lira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caco Martins in the 47th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Caco Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Jefferson Lira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jefferson Lira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nando Almeida in the 58th minute of play. In the 64th minute Gláuber Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mazinho Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 70 played minutes Bacue EC got a freekick which was hit by Naldo Toscano. After a rather tough play, Bacue EC's Michel Catarinense got a free kick in the 72nd minute. After some careless play in the Bacue EC defense, Cleiton Rezende kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jefferson Lira. The Bacue EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jefferson Lira should have stopped the shot. In the 82nd minute Caco Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jefferson Lira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cleiton Rezende could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Jefferson Lira made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caco Martins in the 86th minute of play forced Bacue EC's goalkeeper Jefferson Lira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Zé Augusto Seco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mazinho Alves. CGMS FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zé Augusto Seco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. When the match was over CGMS FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Bacue EC throughout the match.
