In the 21st match minute, Caiçara Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilvan Trevisan to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes into the game, Alfredo da Silva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caiçara Esporte Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave United Foxes the free kick. After 23 played minutes Caiçara Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo da Silva. United Foxes's Beto Carioca shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 24th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Frank Sá but with some difficulty. Rui de Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 39th minute, Beto Carioca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thiago Peres in the 46th minute of play forced United Foxes's goalkeeper Tales Teixeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The wind increased when Rui de Mendonça made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Caiçara Esporte Clube defense, Paulo Renato Ferreira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Frank Sá. The Caiçara Esporte Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frank Sá should have stopped the shot. If João Francisco Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doni Madureira's late challenge caught a United Foxes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Doni Madureira helped the player get up and apologised. Doni Madureira kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Frank Sá showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Francisco Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. If Rui de Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thiago Peres got free with Tales Teixeira in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 95th minute, João Francisco Ramos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The United Foxes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. United Foxes were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
