When Gláuber Moura came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Bacue EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gláuber Moura couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Caiçara Esporte Clube's Cacá Cordeiro got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 11th match minute, Bacue EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cláudio da Costa to maneuver through the defense. Dinei Pontes kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Bacue EC's zone, Rui de Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jefferson Lira came out of the goal and Rui de Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 28 minutes, Cacá Cordeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caiçara Esporte Clube and the Bacue EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jefferson Lira was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Cacá Cordeiro. Cláudio da Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Frank Sá came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Bacue EC's Gláuber Moura. But to his dismay, Gláuber Moura quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Thiago Peres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jefferson Lira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, Thiago Peres had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jefferson Lira. Bacue EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Thiago Peres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Gláuber Moura made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Caiçara Esporte Clube's zone, Gláuber Moura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frank Sá came out of the goal and Gláuber Moura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Doni Madureira kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Naldo Toscano's late challenge caught a Caiçara Esporte Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Naldo Toscano helped the player get up and apologised. In the 57th minute, Naldo Toscano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bacue EC's Jefferson Lira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dé Valle in the 59th minute of play. Wesley do Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 61st minute of the match Sidnei Porto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jefferson Lira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rui de Mendonça in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jefferson Lira saved Bacue EC from getting behind. 66 minutes into the game, Tião Brasil was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bacue EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caiçara Esporte Clube the free kick. After 66 played minutes Bacue EC got a freekick which was hit by Tião Brasil. When Rui de Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Caiçara Esporte Clube fans jumped to their feet. Jefferson Lira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui de Mendonça in the 79th minute of the match. Jefferson Lira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui de Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Dinei Pontes fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bacue EC's protests and gave Dinei Pontes a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Bacue EC's Dinei Pontes got a free kick in the 85th minute. Jefferson Lira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui de Mendonça in the 87th minute of the match. The supporters of Caiçara Esporte Clube booed when Bacue EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michel Catarinense didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 95 played minutes, Caiçara Esporte Clube's Sidnei Porto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jefferson Lira came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Caiçara Esporte Clube reached it. The Bacue EC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Caiçara Esporte Clube from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
