When Durval Azevedo came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Campelo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Durval Azevedo couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lucas Sanches was the one to do the kick off. After 52 minutes of play, Nova Hera Fenix's Benedito Pires made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquim Brasil was left in no man's land by his defense there! 56 minutes into the match, Durval Azevedo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Falcão Ferreira. Nova Hera Fenix's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Durval Azevedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Joaquim Brasil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmyr Marquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After a rather tough play, Campelo FC's Kiko Catarinense got a free kick in the 72nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Giovani Costa during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Nova Hera Fenix booed when Campelo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giovani Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Campelo FC's Joaquim Brasil proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Campelo FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Nova Hera Fenix getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Fred Donatello hit a great ball. Falcão Ferreira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matías Recife's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Fred Donatello hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
