Maurinho Matorins short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Valério Ferreira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 89 minutes into the game, João Adolfo Salles recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Valério Ferreira. João Adolfo Salles showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Maurinho Matorin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Valério Ferreira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Maurinho Matorin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ipuera's supporters rose to their feet, but Maurinho Matorin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valério Ferreira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
