The referee ignored Wiig's protests and gave Elivélton Valadares a yellow card for diving instead. The wind increased when Serafim Batista made the kick off in the second half. Betinho do Nascimento received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Juvenal Ceresso came out and tried to block the shot, but Betinho do Nascimento slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 52nd minute. After a rather tough play, Wiig's Bruninho Cosme got a free kick in the 59th minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Almir Messias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Juvenal Ceresso came out of the goal and Fabinho Batista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Augusto Trancoso hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. 92 minutes into the match, Wiig's Diego do Valle broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Almir Messias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Arósio in the 95th minute of play. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wiig's goalkeeper Almir Messias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Bocaiuva fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Wiig were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
