The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Wiig getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Elivélton Valadares hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Wiig's Bruninho Cosme got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Fabinho Batista managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wiig's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabinho Batista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juvenal Ceresso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 14th match minute, Bocaiuva was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedrinho da Costa to maneuver through the defense. Diego do Valle was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 15th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The supporters of Wiig booed when Bocaiuva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrique Cardoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabinho Batista got free with Juvenal Ceresso in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Juvenal Ceresso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabinho Batista in the 26th minute. Fabinho Batista in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Juvenal Ceresso, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 32 minutes into the match, Bocaiuva's goal looked a bit too open when Bruninho Cosme came free, but Juvenal Ceresso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elivélton Valadares's late challenge caught a Bocaiuva's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elivélton Valadares helped the player get up and apologised. In the 39th minute, Elivélton Valadares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th match minute, Wiig was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Betinho do Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute, Marquinhos Donato sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Wiig's Almir Messias didn't even have to move. The supporters of Bocaiuva booed when Wiig was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elivélton Valadares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabinho Batista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Juvenal Ceresso made a huge save.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bruninho Cosme stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes Bocaiuva's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Diego do Valle who took care of the corner kick. Diego do Valle made a great header on Wiig's corner, it was just that Bocaiuva's Juvenal Ceresso managed to reach the ball for a save. Juvenal Ceresso came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Wiig's Fabinho Batista. But to his dismay, Fabinho Batista quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Wiig's Fabinho Batista got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Bruninho Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juvenal Ceresso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bruninho Cosme's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Fabinho Batista put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Juvenal Ceresso. Fabinho Batista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Juvenal Ceresso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabinho Batista, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Fabinho Batista managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wiig's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabinho Batista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juvenal Ceresso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 81st minute Serafim Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almir Messias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd match minute, Wiig was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Betinho do Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Arósio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Almir Messias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juvenal Ceresso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Betinho do Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juvenal Ceresso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabinho Batista in the 97th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Wiig fully deserved thier win.
