Raí Linhares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvério Maciel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Itaipulândia Futebol Club's zone, Silvério Maciel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raí Linhares came out of the goal and Silvério Maciel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Silvinho Barros made a kick off. Raí Linhares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvinho Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Vikings FC's Silvinho Barros got a free kick in the 57th minute. If Samuca Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute Silvinho Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raí Linhares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Itaipulândia Futebol Club getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Samuca Nascimento hit a great ball. 73 minutes into the match, Itaipulândia Futebol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Silvério Maciel came free, but Raí Linhares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Agnaldo Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raí Linhares made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Silvério Maciel sent off a good shot on target. Samuca Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Zé Paulo Souto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Itaipulândia Futebol Club's Raí Linhares got control of the ball when Silvério Maciel tried to sneak it across the goal line.
