Salgueirón FC's supporters rose to their feet, but David Queiroz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dalmo Urbano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If David Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 11 minutes into the match, Lucas Castro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dalmo Urbano. GrimDeath's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucas Castro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Dalmo Urbano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th match minute, Salgueirón FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Tepedino to maneuver through the defense. Dalmo Urbano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emerson Tróia, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Cipriano Teixeira in the 24th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Salgueirón FC's Dário Arce. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dário Arce in the 27th minute of play forced GrimDeath's goalkeeper Dalmo Urbano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Jorge Mineiro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ulysses Sabóia. The goal made the score 1-1. The supporters of GrimDeath booed when Salgueirón FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fábio Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute, Jorge Mineiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Ulysses Sabóia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Mineiro in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute Luís Fernando de Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulysses Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulysses Sabóia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilian Paranaense in the 59th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emerson Tróia got free with Dalmo Urbano in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 80 minutes into the match, Salgueirón FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Mineiro came free, but Ulysses Sabóia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in GrimDeath's zone, Dário Arce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dalmo Urbano came out of the goal and Dário Arce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Salgueirón FC's Dário Arce in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye GrimDeath's goalie prevented a goal. GrimDeath's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
