Jeremias de Azevedo started the match with the kick off. After 4 played minutes Jeremias de Azevedo rounded RIBEIRÃO FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. 7 minutes into the match, RIBEIRÃO FC's goalkeeper Rafinha Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Léo Rosado. Léo Rosado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cássio Mello came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by RIBEIRÃO FC's Rafael Dante. But to his dismay, Rafael Dante quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Jailson Saraiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, RIBEIRÃO FC's Rafinha Amorim got control of the ball when Léo Rosado tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, EXCELSIOR FC's Mané Figueiredo got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Natã Magalhães's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Cássio Mello on his right side and into the goal. 22 minutes into the game it was 1-2. Cássio Mello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldir Dantas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jeremias de Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. RIBEIRÃO FC's Rafael Dante got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When RIBEIRÃO FC's Jailson Saraiva in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye EXCELSIOR FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 34th minute, Jailson Saraiva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rafael Dante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cássio Mello having to interfere. Léo Rosado struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Rafinha Amorim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for EXCELSIOR FC. When Léo Rosado came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the EXCELSIOR FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Léo Rosado couldn't finish the play. Cássio Mello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jailson Saraiva in the 47th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jailson Saraiva made a kick off. Kléberson Jacinto hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Jailson Saraiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 64 minutes, Toninho Macedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EXCELSIOR FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Toninho Macedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rafinha Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremias de Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cássio Mello made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafael Dante in the 69th minute. 71 minutes into the match, RIBEIRÃO FC's Rafael Dante sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cássio Mello narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Toninho Macedo during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of RIBEIRÃO FC booed when EXCELSIOR FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toninho Macedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the EXCELSIOR FC defense, Rafael Dante kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cássio Mello. The EXCELSIOR FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cássio Mello should have stopped the shot. If Jailson Saraiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Jeremias de Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafinha Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Léo Rosado, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. If Léo Rosado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. RIBEIRÃO FC's Rafinha Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias de Azevedo in the 94th minute of play. In the 95th minute, Léo Rosado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rafinha Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. When the final whistle went the supporters of RIBEIRÃO FC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant EXCELSIOR FC side.
