Spectators: 7212 (Terracing: 5410, Seating: 1659, VIP seats: 143) Wonderkids's Geovanni Vianna started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Júlio Schmidt made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Geovanni Vianna sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Heitor Oliveira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Júlio Schmidt. That made the score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. Guanabara F.C.'s Júlio Schmidt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Guanabara F.C. from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice moves Geovanni Vianna could shoot a difficult shot in the 13th minute, which Júlio Schmidt however easily saved by the left post. With an all-out effort, Wonderkids's Júlio Schmidt threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Heitor Oliveira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Geovanni Vianna blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Júlio Schmidt having to make a save. In the 22nd minute of the match, Heitor Oliveira tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Júlio Schmidt saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Heitor Oliveira in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Júlio Schmidt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 27thth minute of the game Heitor Oliveira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guanabara F.C.'s Júlio Schmidt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Guanabara F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Heitor Oliveira came free, but Júlio Schmidt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 35 in the game by Geovanni Vianna from a close distance when the talented Júlio Schmidt managed to make a qualified save. Guanabara F.C.'s players were relieved. In the 36th minute, Heitor Oliveira fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 38 minutes of play, Guanabara F.C.'s Rubinho Alcântara made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valdir Peres was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Heitor Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wonderkids's Geovanni Vianna got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Dorian Bueno made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Guanabara F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Heitor Oliveira came free, but Júlio Schmidt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Guanabara F.C.'s Dorian Bueno slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Valdir Peres. That made the score 2-2 after 58 minutes of play. Heitor Oliveira succeeded in the game's 67th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-2. If Heitor Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Júlio Schmidt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heitor Oliveira in the 73rd minute of play. Adilson Sarmento hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After 88 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Guanabara F.C.! The referee gave Wonderkids a penalty, 89 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Delfim Cearense, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Guanabara F.C.'s Júlio Schmidt. 4-2. Guanabara F.C.'s Júlio Schmidt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovanni Vianna in the 99th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Wonderkids players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
