Spectators: 7217 (Terracing: 5414, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Christian Romero kicked off to start the match. After 13 minutes of play, Tranqueira FC's Cássio Castro made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nildo Romero was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Chapadinho defense, Márcio Valadares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nildo Romero. The Chapadinho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nildo Romero should have stopped the shot. In the 22nd minute, Márcio Valadares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 24th minute Christian Romero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juvenal de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Chapadinho's Ruy Tepedino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juvenal de Amaral narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 28th minute, Márcio Valadares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Christian Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 38 played minutes Tranqueira FC got a freekick which was hit by Simão de Medeiros. Ruy Tepedino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Juvenal de Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The goalkeeper, Juvenal de Amaral, was totally fooled by Chapadinho's Patrick Sousa, who 48 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Cássio Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Nildo Romero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luiz Fábio Saldanha hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 63 minutes into the match, Tranqueira FC's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Romero came free, but Juvenal de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Pedro Augusto Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Pedro Augusto Teixeira fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chapadinho's protests and gave Pedro Augusto Teixeira a yellow card for diving instead. 77 minutes into the match, Tranqueira FC's Cássio Castro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nildo Romero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Christian Romero took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juvenal de Amaral. Juvenal de Amaral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Márcio Valadares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Márcio Valadares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nildo Romero having to make a save. Joélson Andrade hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Nildo Romero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Márcio Valadares in the 90th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute Márcio Valadares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nildo Romero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luisão Leão during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Tranqueira FC booed when Chapadinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisão Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cássio Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chapadinho's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
