Spectators: 7215 (Terracing: 5412, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 143) After 6 played minutes Eliseu Macedo rounded Aqua FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. 10 minutes into the match, Aqua FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseu Macedo came free, but Percival Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Barreiras getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Oscar de Almeida hit a great ball. Barreiras's Jonas Zanette played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlinhos Martins in the 24th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Oscar de Almeida in the 25th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Aqua FC's Lenílson Sena. Carlinhos Martins blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonas Zanette having to make a save. Carlinhos Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Carlinhos Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aqua FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlinhos Martins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonas Zanette breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rômulo Linares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Percival Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonas Zanette took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlinhos Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute, João Paulo Magalhães got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Barreiras's Franklin Macedo got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After having played for 44 minutes, Carlinhos Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aqua FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlinhos Martins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Aqua FC booed when Barreiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar de Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. 48 minutes into the game, Carlinhos Martins cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Jonas Zanette was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlinhos Martins stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jonas Zanette was a little too slow when Carlinhos Martins got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 1-3. Aqua FC's Carlinhos Martins got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. João Paulo Magalhães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Jonas Zanette tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Barreiras's zone, Luisinho Baiano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonas Zanette came out of the goal and Luisinho Baiano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlinhos Martins struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Jonas Zanette didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aqua FC. In the 77th minute, Eliseu Macedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlinhos Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Carlinhos Martins got free in front of the goal in the 83rd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Jonas Zanette was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar.
