Jacurutu AD were furious when Chicão Azevedo was red carded, 13 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. If Tião Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Tião Vale took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wellington do Nascimento. Wellington do Nascimento dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. If Egídio Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
