But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zézinho dos Santos couldn't finish the play. Zézinho dos Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Sidney Passos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuel Arruda might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sidney Passos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manuel Arruda ran back to his position shaking his head. Sidney Passos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Arruda in the 34th minute. After 35 played minutes Jaya F.C - standy by got a freekick which was hit by João Paulo Bueno. When Manuel Arruda came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Jardim Julia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Arruda couldn't finish the play. Zézinho dos Santos was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 43rd minute. Jardim Julia's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a defensive mix-up in Jardim Julia's zone, Falcão Furlan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronaldinho Dracena came out of the goal and Falcão Furlan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zézinho dos Santos made a kick off. Daniel Toscano struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Ronaldinho Dracena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jaya F.C - standy by. Sidney Passos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Arruda in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 69th minute of the match Rafael Cardozo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ronaldinho Dracena skillfully saved the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Falcão Furlan in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ronaldinho Dracena saved Jardim Julia from getting behind. A collision led to Jardim Julia getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Jefferson Marques hit a great ball. Ronaldinho Dracena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Falcão Furlan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Falcão Furlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fausto Coutinho charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fausto Coutinho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 92nd match minute, Jardim Julia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Coutinho to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute, Daniel Toscano fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
