When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Ian Mendes sped through Barrigudos Futebol Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Erivaldo Cardoso. 12 minutes into the match, Felipe de Andrade notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Calango Virgulino's Ademar Galvão. Ademar Galvão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 18 minutes into the match, Ian Mendes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Erivaldo Cardoso. Barrigudos Futebol Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ian Mendes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gernando Veiga in the 21st minute of play forced Barrigudos Futebol Club's goalkeeper Erivaldo Cardoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mathias Ramos hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Ian Mendes put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Erivaldo Cardoso. Felipe de Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ian Mendes fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Calango Virgulino's protests and gave Ian Mendes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 34th minute Felipe de Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ademar Galvão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erivaldo Cardoso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Walmir Goiano went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. 40 minutes into the game, Barrigudos Futebol Club's Esra Adolfsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ademar Galvão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-4. Erivaldo Cardoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ian Mendes in the 43rd minute of the match. Mathias Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 3-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ian Mendes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gernando Veiga struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Erivaldo Cardoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calango Virgulino. The supporters of Calango Virgulino booed when Barrigudos Futebol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Gaúcho didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 64 played minutes Calango Virgulino got a freekick which was hit by Walmir Goiano. Adalberto de Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Barrigudos Futebol Club booed when Calango Virgulino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ian Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Calango Virgulino's Erivaldo Cardoso threw himself towards the right post 74 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gernando Veiga, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some careless play in the Calango Virgulino defense, Esra Adolfsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ademar Galvão. The Calango Virgulino fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ademar Galvão should have stopped the shot. 79 minutes into the match, Calango Virgulino's goal looked a bit too open when Esra Adolfsson came free, but Ademar Galvão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 84 minutes into the game, Walmir Goiano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-6. Erivaldo Cardoso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ademar Galvão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esra Adolfsson in the 89th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 93 minutes into the game, when Vinícius Mendes put in a rough tackle. 93 minutes into the game, one of Calango Virgulino:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Barrigudos Futebol Club a penalty, 95 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Felipe de Andrade, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Calango Virgulino's Ademar Galvão. 5-6. When the final whistle went the supporters of Calango Virgulino were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Barrigudos Futebol Club side.
