Murilo Veiga kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. A collision led to Esporte Clube Bahia getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Jerônimo Castro hit a great ball. The supporters of Esporte Clube Bahia booed when Sacramento FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilson Valadares didn't get a good kick on the ball. But to his dismay, Danilo Cruz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Váldson Meirelles to strike the kick off in the second half. Artur Aguiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fábio Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After a rather tough play, Esporte Clube Bahia's Cléber Barros got a free kick in the 55th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dário Capixaba got free with Jorge de Sena in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 90th minute, Dário Capixaba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
