After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Carlos Augusto Dionísio managed to get in a good position for a shot. E. C. Claudinho de Azevedo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Nicolas Schmidt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinho de Azevedo in the 44th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claudinho de Azevedo to make the kick off. With 57 minutes on the clock, Virgílio Castro commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 56 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. Nicolas Schmidt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Claudinei Fantini managed to get in a good position for a shot.
